This software is a complete must. I am constantly having to update my IT skills and CD Roms with the information I need is the way to go. A big Hard Disk of 120 or 180Mb can be obtained for well under £100. So uploading your collection of CD's or DVD's (up to 23) for instant access is no problem at all. The originals can be put away for safe keeping and everything is at your fingertips at the speed of a Hard Disk not a CD or DVD Rom.
I do not condone any form of piracy at all but I also think having paid for the contents of the disk I should be able to store it for my consumption as I please and at my convienience. Virtual CD - now in version 5 and with a Network Version for in house produced CD's - is a must and brilliant quality. Recommended!!!

I bet those people at copyright HQ are fuming over this baby. It allows you to copy cd's direct to your hard drive. From here you can then use the software without the cd itself. For large multi disk games you don't have to keep swapping disks .You can also then burn the virtual copy to a cd-r and have a "back-up". CD V4 copies a RAW CD file of the disk you are copying, which means an exact copy of the cd. Although the legitimate reasons for this product are reason enough to buy this, can you resist in making a copy of that game you just borrowed from a mate? Even if for some reason you can't copy it you still have it on your drive. Oh, it works for DVD's too but you will need a large drive though as your collection gets big very quickly.
It was the first product i have bought on amazon. Works very good, though with software and games being released with better protection, with time it stopped fulfilling its purpose, but still works fine with most games and software.
