Worms World Party is the latest from the world of the Worms--the little critters with the cult following. For those who haven't come across the franchise before, it's a sort of mixture of Lemmings and Hogs of War--a turn-based battle which can only be won by careful planning and ingenuity.
As it's a turn-based game, you have to be aware of your actions and plan accordingly. The range of weapons available to you is not only vast but hilarious, from the conventional grenade to the bizarre sheep launcher. Use a mixture of weapons to pick off your opposition and emerge victorious. Weapon skill is vital and a range of training levels is available alongside the various playing modes which include death match, individual missions and time attack.
The graphics and sound are very good and the Worms are brimming with character; their mannerisms add a certain originality to the game. Online games can also be coordinated to compete against your friends. Those familiar with the Worms games will recognise Worms World Party and may be a little disappointed; however, die-hard fans and newcomers to the game will love it. --Chris Hall

In Worms World Party, players control each of the four worms individually as they lead them into battles across a variety of missions and a number of dedicated online locations. You can use whatever weapons come to hand to eradicate the rival worms. A wealth of weaponry--including bazookas, grenades and sheep launcher--are available. Adverse weather conditions can affect the trajectories of projectile weapons, creating a game of genuine skill.
Worms World Party features a new editor to create and edit your own missions. You can place them on the Internet for others to download. With 20 new multi-player missions, players can now team up with a buddy on co-operative missions. Plus, there are 45 amazing single player missions--from puzzle-style to real-time action. The Wormopaedia gives you an extensive catalogue of weapons, tips, and mythology. Additional new special effects round out this fun and addictive game.

As with the PC classics worms on the dreamcast is a simple game with a great depth to its gameplay. With online battles we are taken to new levels with this game and even if you dont have that extra controller it wont stop you from enjoying this game with others. Reach into your virtual pockets and buy this game and then reach out to the people around the world waiting for YOU to kick their butts with explosive sheep. Top stuff!
