5.0 out of 5 stars I found a Treasure 29 Oct. 2003
This has to be one of the maddest games i've ever played, to be frank i'm suprised it got a Uk release! The first thing I noticed about the game is the brightness of the in-game colours and the sheer Japaneseness of the game, i'm sure some of the jokes in the game are hilarious in their own country but over here in translation they seem bonkers. But for me this adds a certain charm and uniqueness to the game. The premise of the game is that you control a mech flying around various space stations and basically you've got to blow everything up but as with many Treasure games the games simple premise belies its hidden depth. You can switch between two mechs and consequently two characers at any time during gameplay, these two characters have distinctly different powers and use of both characters is essential to progression. Did I mention the explosions? They are huge and nearly everything is distructable. The game has 40+ levels so this is not one you're going to complete quickly but as with other Treasure games obtaining that slightly higher score is the motivating factor here. Graphics and Music are excellent with the the control method being fantastic (like Smash Tv you can move in any direction whilst firing in any direction). I thouroughy enjoyed this game it's like nothing i've played before.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gameplay's where it's at! 13 May 2003
By A Customer
Forget your snazzy graphics, 3D accelerators, and bi-linear thingy bobs. This is what true gaming is about - great fun, large explosions, and a totally un-fussy interface. The graphics, though functional, are perfect for this game's premise but there's so much going on screen that you really won't have the time to admire them. It's your usual scroll around the screen in all directions shooting everything you see type of game but with a twist. What is it? Find out for yourself! You can't go wrong for a game of this type for under a tenner.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bangai-o 14 Oct. 2000
By A Customer
This is another golden Tresure game! It may sceem to be a simple shoot em up and 2D mind you but this is great! You basic way to play is to guide your Bangai-o (aname type robot) through a level to the boss. It may sound simple but then thats not how your ment to play the game! the best way to play is to resist the temptation to shoot but to run and hold out as long as possible! during this the screen can be filled with 100's of enemise, gun turets trying to blow you away! Then when you cant hold out any more you let rip and fire your missiles. The screen gets filled with eye candy explosions and you get rewarded for every 100. yes every 100 combos! It's just like playing nights into dreams again getting the perfect chain! If played properly this is great otherwise you may think its just another 2D shoter.
