This is a lovely book - beautiful cover and artistic line drawings. The descriptions of the poses are like poems and the langauge is very descriptive. If you were a yoga teacher and wanted to improve your descriptions of the poses for your class this book would be a great resource. It would work better really as an audio cd or as the spoken text for a dvd that demonstrates the poses. I very much enjoyed this book and it gives the flavour of Sabatini's style of yoga very well.

I think this book was a bit disappointing, to be honest. I expected more details, better illustrations, a bit more inspiration.
I did like to read it, but I have better books about Yoga. Books that really make me want to get my yoga mat and start practising. This book did not do that for me.

Just received this item and scanned through it quickly today. It appears to be what I expected - a useful 'manual' for the different seasons of the year with lots of useful info.

Yoga for the Seasons 24 April 2010

I really love this book. The authors outline 3 short practices for each season: the coming into the season, the middle of the season and the waning of that season into the next. I actually preferred to combine the three and make 1 longer practice for each season. This book is perfect for all of those looking for Yogic ways to honor the Earth and her seasons. For me being an Earth lover and a Yoga addict, this is a great way to honor every Solstice and Equinox with a special yoga practice. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would have liked more complex pictures of the poses they are describing, the book uses stick figures. This was only a minor issue for me since I have been looking for something like this for a long time! ~Namaste~
Fluff and nothing else 14 Mar 2013

This has very little yoga and what is included really has almost no concrete description for you to get the full understanding of the yoga pose unless you are treating yoga like contemporary art. Don't buy this book unless you want to read poetic descriptions about yoga that are not tangible enough to apply.

I blame amazon for not letting me see any of the heart of the book before I bought it and now can not return it! Crazy!

They only have stick figures to show you the asanas and almost no description.
