This is a great desk-top item that really works. Put in a pencil and off it goes.
But get some rechargeable AA batteries to go with it. Then you can use it at it's most powerful... without worrying about saving battery life.
Strangely this is in the toy section, when it really is an adult stationary accessory.

Quick delivery and a good item for sharpening pencils of standard size including colour pencils in a very short space of time! Just a couple of draw backs and that it takes 4 AA batterys and the actual sharper case the holds the blade is plastic not metal, i can see this breaking very easily with use by heavy handed children. But you get what you pay for and this item is very cheap but on saying that it does sharpen the pencils to a very nice sharp point.

Just bought this - delighted - put in four aa batteries and it has just whizzed though all the pencils that needed sharpening which was a hell of a lot (about 100) in five mins. Sturdy enough to stay still without needing support while pencil rotating too. Only a few leads broke - much fewer than if I had been doing it by hand. A great sharpener at a great price. Not actually going to let my children get their hands on it but useful to know that the sharpener inside will not turn without the safety cover so prevents nasty accidents to little fingers. Highly reccomended.

Cheap rubbish
This pencil sharpener is so poorly made it is unbelievable. It took me 5 mins to even get the back case off to insert the 4 batteries. Read more

Great Sharpener
This pencil sharpener works well. I use it in my classroom of 6-year-olds, and we sharpen about 25 pencils daily. Great for lead pencils, not so nice for colored pencils.
