Perhaps I was expecting too much? Perhaps I was lulled by the hype? Either way, I feel that this product is overrated.
I am no beginner to car care, and- to my eyes- use the correct techniques in washing (three bucket method), polishing and waxing. However, until recently I had not tried this particular polish (okay, a case of where have I been, but wondered just how much 'better' this product would really be in comparison to those I was previously using).
It's not that it is a bad product- far from it, and it's very easy to apply and buff off, with minimal dust residue left over.
However, to my eyes, I cannot see any real discernible difference between this product, and my prior product CarPlan's Polish. Indeed, I even tested my 'theory', via doing one half of my car with the Autoglym product, the other with CarPlan's Polish. They looked uncannily similar and indeed, I also asked two other people who too could also not notice any real difference.
Hence, in conclusion, a good product yes, but I wonder who any other five-starred reviews have actually compared it with some non-hyped polishes. At the bargin price that Amazon often sells it at it is worth it, but comparing its RRP compared to the CarPlan's Polish's RRP, I'd say think twice before being lulled by the hype.
