as the rope is quite heavy I think it will work better than light ropes but obviously the surface you are using will have an impact on how well it performs, that has nothing to do with the rope but more to do with the surface you are using. I have had mine for about 8 months and I think it is very good and suits my needs. I use it for boxing about 4 times a week.
Is it 9ft or 8.5ft? In the main text it says 9ft, but then if you look in the product description it says 'Non-pvc covered steel cable Versatile, tangle-free 8.5ft long steel cord' 23 Mar 2014
I have just measured my cord and it is 9 ft in length. This is the cord only, and does not include the handles.
