I've used these for over a year. The padding provides brilliant support for the wrists and the hooks are very strong. The stitching is very strong and is able to take quite a bit of weight (they handle 200kg deadlifts with ease)

The only downside to them, and the reason I haven't given them 5 stars, is that they're not 'handed'. Both staps wrap around your wrist from left to right. While this is OK for your right hand, the metal buckle is in such a position on your left hand that when you're holding weights, it digs into the base of your thumb (where it meets your wrist). When you're holding substantial amounts of weight, it's damn painful.

Apart from that, they're a great addition to your strength training.

full marks for these as used them tonight for my back workout....perfect for Olympic bar workouts or pull downs although i will now only use them for my heavy working sets so not to lose strength in my grip as they are almost a cheat every time!!
far better than straps on the wrists too as there is plenty of padding so no more red marks or skin burn....

After breaking several fingers in a match I did all the rehab but was struggling with grip on a deadlift... I read previous reviews for the product and thought, they would be an excellent addition... They work brilliantly and under stress of 230kg and still have more to give. I would highly recommend this product gives excellent grip and support, very sturdy design.

I bought hooks primarily to get beyond my rep range on shoulder shrugs, as my grip tended to fail before my shoulders did. I thought I might also increase my reps on dead-lifts too. After a few sessions with these, I've reverted to going hookless because I didn't feel these were particularly useful to me.

Cons;

- I like to keep a flat vertical profile from forearm to back of hand during shrugs, and with the hooks in your palm it wasn't possible. With these in place, your wrist tends to flex back a bit.

- The hooks themselves are placed so that your index and pinky fingers can't fit between the hooks, nor can you place outside of them without serious strain. This means your ring and middle fingers are essentially acting as a barrier to stop the weight coming out (20kg+ dumbbell per hand) and the crease of your palm and fingers becomes misaligned.

- The feeling that a 35kg dumbbell may roll out and crush your toes is not an enjoyable one when you're pumping iron.

- At heavier weights (20kg+ per hook), the wrist strap will slide down and make it even more uncomfortable to support the load.

- The forks on each grip weren't the same dimensions in terms of width between them and also the curve profile which suggests to me a lack of consistency or quality control in the manufacturing process.

- People wishing to use these to offset a weaker grip will find that their forearms and grip suffer similar fatigue rates as without, given the work rate involved in keeping decent form while your hands stay in the right place.

Pros;

- With lighter weight these perform their role well
- Those using bars or bells with a diameter under 3.5cm could benefit from these
- Hook engineering aside, the quality is pretty good for the price
- You will look cool when you put them on or take them off

When doing shrugs with very heavy dumbbells, I found these hooks to be perfect for the purpose. Definitely recommend them

They look nice. Hooks might be a bit more curved in shape of "U" instead of wide "V". Sometimes it was a bit hard to hold the dumbbell in hand.

In my role as an injury rehabilitation specialist this product is very useful to assist people with grip problems. it is an excellent progression step from the other products in the range, as it offers greater mobility and therefore involvement of the hands when gripping while still providing the security to to trainer. By it's nature the rigidity of the product can be slightly restrictive to people with smaller hands, but this has not been an issue to any of my clients. All in all an excellent product.
