4.0 out of 5 stars Lonely planet Austria, 6 April 2004

(REAL NAME)
I'm already a Lonely Planet fan having used the Walking Spain book on 2 trips to N Spain and my son sent me LP Austia for Christmas in an effort to get me to visit him there. Apart from being a good general basic guide with good little maps, its a good read with all the bits of history, background and cameos etc. I tried a lot of the recommended stuff including YOHO. and most of the info. was spot on apart from a couple of budget places to eat which were not. and some of the Bus numbers had changed or were wrong.
Otherwise an excellent book, fits in your pocket so don't go without it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely book, 23 Jan 2012
This book arrived on time and in excellent condition - very pleased with it. It's been most helpful in helping me to organise my forthcoming trip to Austria. It's also the latest version which is what I was looking for - many thanks :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Lonely planet gets better and better!, 14 Oct 2011
I bought this as we are moving to Vienna - it is a great guide book! The new edition is even better with loads of information about best spots for outdoor, cycling, skiing! It does not tell you though that coffee in Vienna is VERY expensive no matter which area you go! Would def recommend it
