5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic Match, Tennis at its best. 22 Feb 2011
I am Rafael Nadal's biggest fan & this DVD has been played a million times, I love it! Rafa won his 1st hardcourt grand slam & made his fans very happy!

I was as exhausted as the players must have been when it finished because when you're watching as a fan and you really, really want your man to win, you go through all the highs and lows with them and feel worn out by the end (but very very happy!)

Sorry for Federer fans, you won't enjoy it as much as I did because he lost but you'll still find it an entertaining match & he has won lots of Grand Slams!

Other Rafa fans will love this book The Poetry of Passion (for People with a Pulse) it's got 80 poems in about how us fans feel about him, the highs the lows and his lovely humble personality and his sexy looks, and the other poems about love are good too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A CLASSIC MATCH, A MUST FOR RAFA FANS. 22 Feb 2011
Luckily I have a multi region DVD player (although I didn't check before buying it!) but I'd advise you to do so!

I'm a huge Rafael nadal fan & I buy almost everything Rafa related, this match is an absolute must, a nailbiting, classic match with Rafa winning his 1st hard court grand slam title.

It's definately one of the great Rafa/Federer matches, one to treasure & watch again & again.

Rafa fans will also love The Poetry of Passion (for People with a Pulse) as it has a long chapter called "A Fan's Feelings" of 80 poems about Rafa, his career, his personality & his good looks (& the rest of the book is brilliant too) No Rafa fan should be without it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Enthralling match...... 7 Aug 2011

This is an absolute heartbreaker for Federer followers, but of course a joy for Nadal followers and a wonderful win for Nadal. A simply glorious match. As one of the Federer followers, I was devastated by Federer's loss but there are up sides. Both of them played the most amazing tennis (again) and it was a very close match, another of their great classics. Enthralling match, one to savour. Fortunately I am also a great Nadal follower, so I could be very happy for him.

Much has been said of Federer breaking down when asked to speak but I have been told that a fan shouted at that moment "Roger, we love you," and many of his fans believe this is why he broke down, not because he'd lost. Those who might say he was a bad loser should remember that his wife has said he is a "very good loser" and research of reactions by players to losing is not "weeping" - that's just a natural reaction to the tension falling off - but a fierce determination right away to win next time. It's usually the winner who suffers from a curious malaise - because all the tension drops away, and they are left wondering what to do next and need to start thinking about the next tournament as soon as possible or they could lose their focus.

It was a wonderful win for Nadal who had tended to struggle somewhat on the hard courts. This time he had a splendid Australian Open and a wonderful, classic win. And it was so good to see him comfort Federer - Nadal is a kind and considerate, gentle man off court and full of warmth.
