As the original owner of a 3000 MKII BN7, the rather rare two seater, three carb North American car, I demonstrate a certain affinity for these cars. And also this book. While there are already plenty of excellent volumes covering Healeys, this one really does go a long way toward "filling in the blanks". The very early Healey efforts, show cars, and one-offs receive more than their fair share of pages. And that is my only-slight disappointment. A little more coverage of the standard production cars ( there were a "few" LHD cars!) would provide a bit more balance and give me a reason to give the rating another star. That extra coverage would go a long way toward making this book the "definitive book on Austin Healey". Still, the collection of rare photos, excellent tips and side-bars make it a "must have" to any fan of these machines.
