1.0 out of 5 stars do not buy this clock, 7 Nov 2008
By Mr. R. Benson (sheffield england) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Having seen it on play.com, i thought my teenager would love a light up clock (as much as a teeneage would like any alarm clock!) and ordered it for christmas.

When she opened it , it looked cheap, however, we though when lit it would be different. It was a bit better. However, it was disappointing to find the colours go off after 30 seconds, unless you use a mains adaptor, rather than batteries. You have to tap it, to light it up again.

It didnt say this in the advert, and the adaptor is not included, meaning more expense.

Wouldnt recommend it, it looks cheap, and just like a plastic grey box unless lit.

I have no choice now but to buy an adaptor to get best use out of it. Given I didnt want something in the mains, it rather defeats the whole object. The alternative is to chuck it out.

It sadly is nowhere near as nice as it looked in the picture.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks OK but not much good as an alarm, 30 Dec 2007
The alarm is far too quiet - think old Casio watch 'beep beep' sound and level. All well and good having lights, but needs to cover the basics!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 10 Nov 2008
Initially this clock seemed like a great little gadget, I liked having the date as well as time settings and the colour changing lights were really impressive. However....the alarm is not only fiddly to programme but so quiet that you may as well not bother; the snooze function on mine didn't work either.

I decided to go back to my old alarm and just use the Aurora to tell the time but even that didn't work as the clock runs fast; I have had it for about 10 months and the time is 15 mintues off.

Nice gimmick when you first get it, but the lights on it stopped working after a month

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
This product was a real disappontment.
The colour changes only worked if it was plugged in, and it then stopped working within a week. Such a shame.
