It comes with a built-in 2400mA Li-Polymer rechargeable battery offering up to 5 hours TV watching, an AC/DC power adaptor/charger and a pair of high quality headphones.
August is a popular brand for portable TV and have won a number of awards from various leading magazines including What HiFi, T3, Which ?, Auto Express, Active Home and etc, tipped by The Sunday Times as The Best New Technology and voted a Top 3 Small Screen TV by Channel 4.
Please note: there may be difficulties in receiving TV signal with the telescopic antenna in some regions at present. This is due to the Freeview service (see freeview.co.uk website) not yet being fully operational throughout the UK. The reception will improve along with the progress of Switchover.

Bought this TV because it is cheaper than other 3.5inch models available in the market and was not expecting too much from it. It has surprised me once received as the build and finish do not look cheap at all.
Understand the signal may be an issue, luckily, it picks up all channels for me with the little telescopic aerial in my home. It is simple and easy to set up and the picture is unexpectedly clear plus it can also receive digital radio stations from Freeview. Very pleased!

This item looks good and has all the possibilities of being a good product. The problem with it is that it is entirely down to luck, rather than good technology, whether you can get a signal or not.
I live within sight of a local transmitter and both my standard freeview box and my PC freeview unit rate the signal as very strong (all bars). The August unit can only get a signal standing close to the open window that looks out onto the hillside where the transmitter is located. Moving just one step away causes the picture and sound to vanish.
There is also no option to plug in a standard aerial, so unless you find hanging out of a window on a clear night a comfortable and desirable position, you should not buy this unit.
For what it's worth, when the picture briefly appears, it is a good one, but just don't bank on getting one.
The makers use a get-out clause saying that transmitters are not yet up to full power, while this is true it has nothing to do with the absence of a picture on this unit.

I bought this little TV for my hubby, he is a taxi driver needs to work during the night, so he can watch TV while he is waiting for customers. He is very pleased with it and now can not live without it. The picture is fantastic. Crystal clear. Easy to set up and receives up to 46 stations where we are. Nice little set of headphones for discreet watching & listening. I would definitely recommend this little tv set. This little pocket TV is probably the best on the market at a very affordable price.
