5.0 out of 5 stars The finest in ambient - techno 11 Aug 2006
Format:Audio CD
This album has to be one of the most influential electronica releases in my life & in my album collection today!. This is a fantastic musical journey through beautiful light and dark sounds using an amazing blend of techno, Idm, downtempo, and ambient. If you enjoyed Future Sound Of london's "Lifeforms + Dead Cities" + Robert Leiner "Visions Of The Past" albums - 'Augar' will blow you away!

If you missied this album on release do expect to pay a high price for this rare masterpiece!

5.0 out of 5 stars Augur is one of the finest atmos-trance albums of the decade 4 April 2000

I am desperately trying to find and purchase this album. Apparently it has been deleted, but my brother bought it when it came out in '96 (I think) and it is absolutely amazing!
5.0 out of 5 stars genre : industrial techno : ambient dark 27 Dec 2003
By stringsleeves - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I picked this album up by sheer accident in my local library, it was the only CD I hadn't heard of in the entire selection. It only turned out to be one of the best albums I've heard in years, and that's after 2 years of listening to it a lot. I dunno where these guys come from but they certainly can squeeze things out of electronic boxes that makes Leftfield look retro, and structure them together in a way that makes Underworld appear coherently normal. Its not techno, or quite soothing enough to call ambient, more like Kraftwerk on acid, with dark industrial undertones that add a chunky bit of realism to the whole experience. As the album progresses it becomes darker and more ambient, and contains some of the most chilling samples I've ever heard. If you don't like this album then your lying to yourself.
