to a glorious lady. This book is sheer joy. The intimate pictures,- unseen before now - of Audrey Hepburn, who without doubt in my mind MUST rank as one of the most beautiful women ever, and the commentary of the author, give a new slant on some of her work. The smile, the sparkle are all captured by Bob Willoughbys lens and the result is magic. If you adore this lady, this book is a MUST - repeat MUST.

Very high quality photos which were taken during the filming process of Roman Holiday, Green Mansions, The Children's Hour, Paris When It Sizzles, My Fair Lady, and Two for the Road... Special pics that are only available to be seen in Willoughby's collection; also including Audrey and her little son Sean's home instantaneous at their house.

Photographic Treasure! 27 Sept. 2002
By Jennifer E. Williams - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I think there are few individuals who came as close to perfection in both beauty and personality as Audrey Hepburn. This book proves my point. Audrey was so incredibly beautiful that a bad photograph was probably impossible to take of her! Bob Willoughby shares his collection of photographs with us and it is a real treasure. Though the photos span a relatively short period of time in her life, they are nonetheless glimpes of Audrey both on and off screen. Both black and white and color photographs are featured. My favorite photos are the ones of Audrey in "Two For The Road", which is, by the way, one of the best films I have ever seen. If you love Audrey, BUY this book!!! You will not regret it!

A MOST PICTURE-PERFECT TRIBUTE TO A MOST FAIR LADY 17 Jan. 2003
By Alan W. Petrucelli - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Robert Willoughby had a distinguished career as a Hollywood photographer --- among the stars the magazine photographer (who's now credited with virtually reinventing the photojournalistic movie still) shot were Garland, Taylor and Monroe. But his fave was Edda van Heemstra Hepburn-Ruston. In this photo-packed valentine, he recalls shooting a new starlet one morning in 1953. When he met the gamine Belgian beauty, Willoughby was enraptured: "She took my hand like ... well, a princess, and dazzled me with that smile that God designed to melt mortal men's hearts." As Hepburn's career soared following her Hollywood starring debut in "Roman Holiday," Willoughby became a trusted friend; his historic, perfectionist, tender photographs seek out the many facets to Hepburn's beauty and elegance. This collection includes both iconic portraits, as well as stunning images that have never been published before. The perfect homage to a most fair lady.

not what I expected 19 Feb. 2008
By margaret - Published on Amazon.com

When I saw the title of the book I wrongly assumed that this would be full of photos from her personal life. Although there are many wonderful photos they are mainly all from movie sets and in movie wardrobe, a bit disappointing since I have already seen the movies I didn't want to see her on movie sets wearing the same clothes she wore in the movies.

This book is full of great images that cfome to life. the narrative that is woven along the book adds a very personlized touch to the photographs one is viewing. The artistict quality of each picture is essential to the portrayal of both actress and photographer. This book is a great addition to any collection.

She was a lady of true beauty 27 Mar. 2003
By Carl P. Rychlik - Published on Amazon.com

An excellent book which pays tribute to a beautiful attractive lady. What is especially sad is the fact that Mr.Willoughby had been with this beautiful actress from the start, and was able to follow her career and her personal life with never before seen pictures.I agree with Mr.Willoughby-I miss her too.
