5.0 out of 5 stars right on the money!!!! 27 Sep 1998
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book will not only give you the insight and the know-how on how to get it together, but it's chock full of humorous anecdotes and phrases. The great thing is that not only can you use these techiniques towards acting, but they also work EXTREMELY well for job interviews and life as a general rule. It is more of a Real Life 101 and how to deal with directors (i.e bosses, teachers) It serves a multi-faceted purpose. Every actor/actress should own two copies (in case somebody steals one).

5.0 out of 5 stars I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E!!! 27 Oct 1998
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
My acting teacher is actually using this book as our textbook (undergrad intermediate theatre class)! It isn't only guidelines for auditioning, it is a guideline for acting. The book explains how to look at a character in a way that I have never thought. My acting has improved incredibly because of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dead On 30 July 1999
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Even if you have no interest in the entertainment industry at all, the book is worth reading. I have gotten better insight about personal relationships in this book than in any book devoted to the purpose. Just two points: Shyness is wanting to be bold, and one of the biggest reasons to have friends is to have someone to compete with.
