Ever since I worked at an independent Audio Video store, I've loved AudioQuest products. I had never heard of them before I started working there, but they are definitely top notch, far better than monster cable or anything at best buy. Yes, you do pay a bit more, but you're paying for quality, which if you are discerning, you should be able to tell a difference.
As far as this product specifically, I'm using it to hook up my sony blu-ray player to my sony 32" HDTV. Picture is crisp, colors are accurate to the eye (particularly the skin tones look good, which often are the first thing to suffer). Since I don't currently own a receiver with HDMI inputs, I can't comment on the audio quality particularly.
Hands down, I'd recommend the Pearl HDMI cables as a good starting point to anyone getting any decent HD equipment. Obviously there are more amazing cables (which I've heard/seen) which will do an even better job if you're spending serious money on your gear, but it doesn't make sense to go too much farther up the lineup if you're sticking with mainstream components like Sony, Panasonic, JVC, etc.
