This design of MP3 player has been around for several years - making it ancient in this line of technology - but I really like them.
On the downside, they are a bit fiddly to use and have small screens. On the upside, they have a lot of memory, are reasonably loud at top volume - so you can hear them over most background noise - and are AAA battery-powered. This last is the best, from my point of view. Instead of having to get home and plug it in, then wait for it to recharge when the player goes flat, you can just bang another battery in, and off you go again. Great if you're half-way through an audio book.
They're also quite tough and survive a long time (for the low price).

This is my second one. I had my other (Sumvision) MP3 player for a few years, but I think the memory is corrupt as it keeps showing 'Disk Error' on it's little screen.
I say the previous was Sumvision, but they are exactly the same players.
For less than £14.00, you cannot go wrong. The only thing that I will say, is that I found that this one has not much bass. I have skipped through the different EQ settings, but it sounds a bit thin to me. My previous player had much more bass, and a noticable change in sound when skipping through the same EQ settings.
Some people also think that this is hard to use?! It is so simple. You can fly through the menu, and select the folder/album that you want to play. You press the button to go into the folder, then simply press the play button. You really don't need the manual.
So I would say, if you like your bass, go for the Sumvision version, but if you are happy with a good all round clear sound, this is for you!

This is a good player if you just want lots of storage at a very cheap price. However, the menu and control toggle switch is quite hard to operate - you have to click it in at the correct angle to select the function you want, and the display screen is tiny so wouldn't do for an older or partially sighted person.
The overall build quality is what you'd expect from a Chinese mass-produced plastic product, but I guess it would last as long as you'd like if you didn't drop it or treat it roughly.
In summary, buy this if all that you need is 4Gb and something to play it through, but I'd advise buying something else if you don't desperately need the storage capacity.
