This must be one of the funniest videos I have watched in a long time, the man is at his best here, talking and chatting with ease amongst his peers. The content is suitable for most ages, my parents loved it, as did my two children. He is an extremely witty and amusing man who does not need to resort to crude language, relying purely on his skill as a superb artist of his trade. This is well worth the outlay, as you laugh so hard you miss sections and can easily watch it over and over.

This guy doddy is absolutely brilliant, his wit his timing is fantastic. His humour is good clean fun and laughter and as ive heard him described by others the last of the greats, which I totally agree with. He is one comedian id love to meet in the flesh. Ive been to see him at Carlisle sands centre, he kept us captivated for three and a half hours. Back to this tape, when im feeling blue, into the cupboard I go and play it and i feel great by the end of it.
To sum up the guy deserves a knighthood, some people get them for doing less then he does for people. He makes me and the world a happier place.

I saw this on tv and it had my sides aching so I bought the videotape and years later the DVD. It lasts for about an hour and a half and is comedy gold. This is the act Doddys honed for years, travelling the length and breadth of Britain making people laugh, I dont know anyone who has watched it and NOT enjoyed it, very very funny. Highly recommended.

I never liked Ken Dodd, remembering his Diddymen acts. I saw this and was unable to stand up after. It is the funniest performance I have EVER seen. If this is the only DVD you ever own you will not be disappointed

I have always been a fan of Ken - TV has not always seen him at his best but this video of a TV show showed him on top of his brilliant form. The audience shots show some of our top performers helpless with laughter as they "gave in " to Ken and his irrestible onslaught on their chuckle muscles. Wonderful stuff - thanks Ken

Ken Dodd still making people laugh after all these years. Modern comedians could still learn a lot from the 'master of tickleology'; Ken is from the old school and does not (thankfully) have to resort to 'toilet' humour. Probably his best video because it features an audience of his 'peers; and there aren't too many dry eyes in the theatre! Overdue for a knighthood. We were lucky enough to see Ken live at Worthing this year while on holiday - what a show!! What a shame he doesn't do tours Downunder. One of the reasons why I bought the DVD.
