Product Description

From the author of MELVIN THE DRY CLEANING ZOMBIE, THE VAMPIRE HANDBOOK and ROMANCE NOVEL comes another tasteless, tacky and laugh-out-loud parody.

As the official Royal Dragon Slayer of Fairytale Kingdom, Barth descends from a long line of monster-killing knights. There’s only one problem: Drag, the kingdom’s resident cross-dressing dragon, is also Barth’s best friend.

When the King orders Barth to kill Drag, Barth knows they have to flee the kingdom or else another knight will do the job. But after a beautiful witch begs Barth to stay and help rid the kingdom of a dreadful zombie curse, Barth discovers he may have found his true calling. Is he knight enough to stop the zombie outbreak, save his best friend and get the girl?

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! 12 Jan 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Attack of the Fairytale Zombies is the first book I have read by this author, and I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I met Drag, the cross dressing dragon, I knew it was going to be fun. I also always had an idea that Little Red Riding Hood was a whore and this book has confirmed it!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and all the zany characters from start to finish. I fully intend to read absolutely everything else this author has written.....she's definitely on my wavelength. Buy it and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Squee Your Pants Funny 19 Mar 2012
By Pamela
Format:Kindle Edition
I admit I have a soft spot for the parodies of PJ Jones, but if I have to have a favorite, it's Attack of the Fairytale Zombies. Not only is it well written and fast paced, it has everything I love: Dragons, witches, zombies, and crude, rude humor. From Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings, nothing is sacred to Jones. I found myself laughing until there were tears in my eyes!

If you love to laugh and enjoy mature adult humor, this is the book for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Parody Queen strikes Fairytale gold! 19 Mar 2012
By alan nayes - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
PJ Jones is well known for her parodies of a certain vampire series, as well as werewolves and damsels in distress. So when I began Attack of the Fairytale Zombies I had some idea of what to expect--her witty, irreverent prose, humorous dialogue, and funny insulting references to some celebrities(Yes, I'm referring to Oprah, Kim K., and Taco Bell). But Attack is more than just a simple parody--it is a well written story involving characters you care for--Barthalemew Huganut, the knight, Drag the dragon, and Heather, the witch. True, it is parody, but it is also a love story as well as a story of friendships and loyalties. The concept is original. Barth, a dragon slaying knight is called upon to save Fairytale Kingdom after a zombie curse threatens to destroy all those Barth cares for, including the beautiful witch Heather he has fallen in love with. Through fast paced action and plot twists, you virtually race through the novel wondering if Barth will be successful in his quest. Attack is funny, engaging and a recommended read for those who relish parody and satiric comedy, though after the final scene you may find you want to take a clean shower. Read Attack of the Fairytale Zombies and laugh out loud!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ye Olde Brainssss.... 22 Mar 2012
By M. Edward McNally - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
It seems like the thing to do when writing a review of a parody would be to write a parody of a review... but that would be a bit too clever for me by half. "Attack of the Fairytale Zombies" is not that, by which I mean it is clever, but not *too* clever. Yes, it's a ribald and rambunctious parody of "Save the Kingdom from nasty creatures" fantasy, overblown zombie apocalypse stuff, and fairytales both old and new. It is often hilarious and frequently foul, and yet even beyond that, it still manages somehow to be a good, solid story with engaging characters you'll find yourself rooting for - even when the author may at any given moment point out how ridiculous they and their plight is. PJ Jones tells a funny, irreverent, and truly whacky story, and yet it still manages to be a good story throughout. It's fun to watch, or rather, to read.
