I found this very useful - it was clear and understandable. It had other useful things in it like about things you eat and how some of them can help you feel better and how some induce panic attacks! I suffer from panic disorder and found it very comforting. Please buy it. Helen Inniss

The author writes in black and white everything to know about panic attacks and panic disorders. Loads of research done by Muriel MacFarlane about these illnesses. Brilliant to read if panic attacks' sufferers want to know what happens to them while experiencing this awful attacks. Also includes self help and professional techniques to solve the problem. Excellent guide.

I bought this book when I first started suffering from panic attacks and it was the first real help I had. As I read each page I thought "yes that is me" and it helped me understand Panic and Anxiety and put it all into context of everyday life. This book is a must for any sufferer of Panic Attacks, Anxiety, Stress, OCD or Phobias as you immediately realise that you are not alone and that there is help and a cure out there! There is also useful information on causes, biology, symptoms and treatments, and the various drugs used to treat all of these illnesses. A must for any sufferer or carer that will help you understand this much understood and under-rated illness.
