WW2 Atlas 10 Sep 2011
By john - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Best WW2 atlas I have ever read or came accross. 100s of maps and illustrations that gives a wide spectrum of views and understandings of how the battles have occurred in real time. There is a saying; " To understand history you have to read it with a map open in front of you, otherwise the names and places of the towns/cities/regions captured, recaptured would just be names like mythological figures : which alone doesnt make any sense. This Atlas fullfils that gap which is essential in getting down to the geographical details of this mankinds most brutal and biggest war ever fought so far!
In my opinion this is the best book on WWII 1 Dec 2014

In my opinion this is the best book on WWII. Every page has a clear map that shows in detail what happened in every campaign of WWII, the book is cheap and gives you all the info you need without diving deep into details.

Odd Atlas of World War II 14 May 2012
By James Perry - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I wish I hadn't bought this book. I bought this book to help me with reading John Erikson's books "The Road to Stalingrad" and "The Road to Berlin" which are classics accounts of the Eastern Front, but unfortunately have little or no maps. But I found this atlas to be very disappointing. Most of the maps are not to scale, have odd perspectives, and orientations different than north at the top, which for me makes then harder to comprehend. I will need to find a better atlas of World War Two.
