As a current medical student, I'm always on the lookout for good text books. I was in need of a book to supplement my anatomy dissection of the musculoskeletal system, and this book ticked the boxes.

The illustrations are exquisite and highly detailed, showing beautifully the structures within the body by region.

I use this book with the associated flashcards and the online resources, and I don't need any other book now.

Highly reccommended.

This one is one you'll keep wanting to pickup and leaf through. Presuming of course that you are into anatomy for any reason at all that is!!

I've picked it up along with Tortora's physiology book for a good in depth study of the body as a whole and am very pleased with my choice. The other option was Gray's and to be honest it took quite some time to decided that I'd enjoy Netter's more.

Having said that-that doesn't mark down Gray's in the slightest! I just liked the sound of having Netter's artwork to look at! It's accurate and detailed, and will do the job nicely.

This book is amazing. There's nothing which needs to be said about Netter's illustrations; they're outstanding, easy to understand and to remember. But this version of the book FALLS APART! After a few months of light use, pages started falling out, until the book split into three parts. The binding is apparently more of a do-it-yourself kind of thing. Netter is THE BEST, but stay away from this publisher if possible. The binding is the worst i've ever seen.
