Product Description

Product Description

Acupuncture in Latin means A"sticking with the needle.A" Each of the 409 important acupuncture points is presented with an anatomical graphic, an overview of the meridian and a photo showing the needle placement. The combination of Chinese sources and the authors' therapeutic experiences provides a sensible balance between the most important indications and practical needs. The names, properties, and applications of the individual acupuncture points have been revised on this basis. Far-Eastern healing methods and Western observation techniques create a bridge between Asian and Western views of acupuncture. This acupuncture atlas not only provides beginners with an overview of the most important acupuncture points, but experienced practitioners can also learn about seldom used acupuncture points and thus extend their knowledge.

As a qualified nurse, Tui Na therapist and Acupuncturist, I have found this book to be the most useful of all. the layout with its extensive use of diagrams and photos is unlike any other text book I own. A truly invaluable aid to the location of acupuncture points, their uses and contra-indications. Quite simply a must have book, whether for a student or paractitioner alike.

As a student of acupuncture I delight in the clear and detailed photography of the point positions. The use of both English and Pinyin names is also of great advantage. The book is however more than just a teaching aid as it includes much on the Extraordinary vessel and will serve as a invaluable reference book throughout my years of practise.

easy to use, very informative and covers all meridian points, unlike others which only show the more commonly used points
