Easy and Breezy Visual Guide to Atlantis Concepts

I read Geoffrey Ashe's "Land to the West" about the Brendan voyages and other possible landfalls in the Americas BC (Before Columbus) so I knew this would be a sober guide to the world of Atlantology (or Atlantisitis, if you prefer). Not too trusting of plainly loopy or fraudulent "insights" but allowing that there's merit in some of the researches. Even if you're a skeptic --i.e., believe Plato made up the whole thing just to provide an allegory for his thought about the idealized "good OLD Athens" versus the imperialistic, materialistic Athens of his day ( disguised as Atlantis)the book is worthwhile. It doesn't require you to be gullible, but only to have some appreciation for Atlantis as a symbol and inspiration for art, literature and music. This book brings out with stunning graphic clarity, how the idea of Atlantis has inspired many a seeker after a glittering lost world. Ashe admires the ingenuity and creativity of those who have tried to recreate Atlantis within their own vision.
