Let's be honest. If you saw this film for 99p you would buy it just to laugh at it and then casually toss it aside.
If you go into this film expecting anything more than 99p's worth of entertainment you will be grossly disappointed.
Saying that, this film does however sit head and shoulders above Sharknado and that other classic The Raven.
Possibly the most impressive part of this film is that they've somehow managed to create a clone using part Kevin Bacon and part Michael Biehn circa 1996. Although it would appear that the cloning process removes both personality and any acting ability.
The CGI has suffered due to the company spending all of the budget on the Bacon/Biehn clone and the sets look like they've been rescued from the future zone section of the Crystal Maze.
So, if you're wondering what Pacific Rim would have been like had Guillermo Del Toro let his 10 year old nephew direct it, and forced him to use his weeks pocket money to pay for the production look no further.
Never has the phrase "you get what you pay for" been so true.
