a fine book showing that cad drawings dont have to be boring or highly technical. Great for architecture students. very few photos but thats the beauty of the book - it survives on the graphics alone.

Awesome. Absolutely awesome. The drawings are incomparable. Forget all the digital images, drawing like this explains everything that needs explaining and if you don't get it then you won't understand anything. It teaches you how to show a space in a very simple but effective way, also you learn a bit of Japanese along the way

Bow Wow not only has fascinating projects, but this book is presentation in a beautiful and unique method. Love that it goes back to the fundamentals of architecture: the drawings, but in a massively creative (and effective!) method.

great graphic and drawing techniques for architects

This is book is great for representational drawing techniques for architects but there is not much text explaining the firm or philosophy. 80% graphics 20% text. The book is most of their houses and it is all line drawings beginning with sectional perspectives with elevations and plans in the back. The layering of text, call out details and focusing particularly on how people use the spaces is great. There is a minimalist quality by using strictly line work and line weights but the layers of space make the drawings rich and complex.

It doesn't get better folks - I can spend hours per page just absorbing the dense, yet clear construction drawings of Atelier Bow Wow. A must for any architect who thinks the current drawings standards we live by are the end-all. AIA, sit down and take a lesson, because you're about to get schooled.
