Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Super Burnout is the best racer on the Atari Jaguar.

It's a 2d arcade style motorcycle racing game. There is a small selection of bikes with different attributes to add variety to the gameplay. None of the bikes are based on real machines but this is an arcade racer not a sim afterall.

What makes the game stand out is the presentation and the playability. The game looks and sounds great - there is some "pop-up" during races but the sprite scaling is pretty good overall. The soundtrack is catchy and adds to the atmosphere. From a playability point of view this game is spot on. The gameplay is challenging but not frustrating and it's a tough one to master. It saves your lap times providing an added challenge of shaving off a few 10ths of a second here and there.

Atari Karts is also a very good game but this takes the crown as the best racer on the system. World tour Racing and Club Drive just don't compare.
