I was lucky enough to be there on that lovely summer evening in 2010, and it's great to have this 3CD set as a memento. While The Divine Comedy without an orchestra might be an odd concept, when you hear this it's clear that Neil Hannon's music and lyrics speak for themselves. As the previous reviewer says, it really allows the words, and Hannon's soaring vocals, to shine. Yeah he makes a few mistakes, but that just adds to the fun and the crowd lapped up his ad-libbing and banter. The atmosphere on the night was charming, and that largely comes across on the CD as well. For the price Amazon is charging, this is a bit of a bargain (it was £20 for those of us who bought it on the night!) and is a terrific record of Hannon's peerless songwriting.
