Purchased this item to seek a better level of screen vision from my PC from the existing 15 inch monitor and at the Amazon price this offered the best value compared to similar priced models. Have not been disappointed as straight out of the box the monitor proved a huge improvement using the VGA input. Text clarity was much improved for those like me that have some vision impairment and the contrast levels were great requiring little adjustment as the auto contrast settings work well. No dead pixels and test card results proved that this model has a great spec for the money.
Paired with any HD source such as blue ray the DVI or HDMI input provides a brilliant picture which works well for game users with X box or Sony Play stations. The screen is a matt finish screen rather than the reflective glass of the HP 2207 model which I also have and so does not suffer from reflections. The the unit is lighter to move around and set up with a laptop as a desktop alternative and works well with my Apple Macbook Pro.
If you are looking for a true 1080 screen level and a bargain price then look no further than this compact but highly spec'd unit.

I see no blur in games (even Crysis) at 1920 x 1080, very crisp colours, white is the purest I've ever seen. Comes with DVI AND VGA cables (plus audio & power leads), and auto-defaulted to the dvi connection when I first powered up. I also have HDMI plugged in, but I think I'm doing something silly, as when I have a vga monitor, plus this monitor via DVI, plus HDMI to this monitor all connected at once, Windows/ATI software seems to get very confused and drops the DVI link. Deliberate? Probably. Regardless, a fantastic buy, and delivered in 2 days using free Super Saver delivery

You won't find a full HD 22" monitor for this price in April 2009. Don't worry 22" screen isn't as big as you think it is going to be (52cm wide by 33cm high) and it's light. The surround is a mirror black finish, but the screen is matt - so no glare. The true resolution is 1920 x 1080 at 60hz.Although my graphics card just reaches 1920 x 1080, the text would be difficult to read if I were more than 3' away. The monitor has analogue VGA-in and Digital DVI and HDMI. There's no HDMI cable supplied (but they do give you a VGA cable), so you'll need to buy a PC-DVI to HDMI cable. I am using HDMI and the picture is sharp and the colours render cool. There are limited preset colour temps (which appear too artificial for me). The blacks appear darker than expected. The response time is slow for games, but perfect for MS Office, net and great for video editing! There's no drivers required, just a manual on a disk - but you do get a paper one too!Menu buttons are like any other. There's no fine stretch, position, trapezoid and all the things you may have been used to in the past - just a simple brighteness, contrast, saturation/colour temp menu. There are preset saturation/brightness 'modes' for games, theatre, scenery, night time. When you first switch it on, you have to use the '-[->]' button to switch it to HDMI as it defaults to VGA and you might sit there waiting for ever. Being on HDMI cable, I can't comment on the sound (but I bet its tinny, they normally are. The screen angles up to 45' which is suitable for a desk. All in all, I am happy with it and full HD video is very clear and sharp.
