With EAH6950 you can expand your visual horizon across six monitors with 2 DVI & 4 DisplayPort outputs. EAH6950 is factory overclocked to perform at 810MHz, higher than stock performance, resulting in higher frame rates in games.
Based on ASUS DirectCU architecture, which uses copper heat pipes in direct contact with the GPU to speed up heat dissipation for over 20% cooler performance, DirectCU II takes cooling further with twin 100mm fans for 600% airflow.
Traditionally, a GPU Pixel Shader is a graphics function that calculates effects on a per-pixel basis. With ASUS' New Splendid Video Intelligence Technology however, the GPU Pixel Shader will be used to reduce CPU loading for the first time in the world. The New Splendid can amazingly reduce over 30% in CPU loading in comparison to the original version. Therefore, Full HD images enabled by ASUS’ graphics cards can be fine-tuned to deliver vibrant visual representations in conditions most favorable to the human eye. With the New Splendid, watching movies on the PC is as good as watching them on top-of-the-line HDTVs.
Normally, videos played back on a PC will never look as good as when viewed on a TV, because most PCs do not come equipped with the image-processing unit commonly found in consumer electronic display devices. An excellent Graphics card very fast and quite,
You must bare in mind that this is a very big card, it will not fit all motherboards (it whent in mine with the loss of a SATA socket and a PCI slot)as it covers most of the board, and the PC cabinet will need to be the larger type.
Also if you intend to run more than two monitors (like me) one monitor out of the three must be a DisplayPort type (2 x DVI 1 x DP)or you will need to buy a Displayport powered adapter at about £130.00 for it to run three seperate monitors. using the adapter has its limitations as to the graphics cards full potential because the Graphics card can and will deal with higher screen resolutions than most adapters can handle, therefore using the cards full potential with I-infinity which means running three monitors as one big screen or even upto six as this card will handle not possible in most cases unless you use propper DisplayPort Monitors.
