Amazon Verified Purchase
Good board for the price but the MOSFETs don't have heatsink unlike other more expensive boards from ASUS. CPUID HArdware monitor reports "CPUTIN" at 92 degrees Celcius even when the computer is idle. I just ordered a Thermalright Mosfet heatsink. I will update this thread once I have installed it.
Caveats:
Only 6 usb sockets at the back, no USB3 header, sound output plays on both front panel and back panel simultaneously unlike my other more expensive board. Not a full ATX board and only has six screws and not 9 for fixing to the case. Odd placement of headers and connections. MOre importantly, nmo heatsink on MOSFETS that is why they run very hot.
SO far no boot problems encountered. I'm only currently using i3 2120 chip.

Just to update this review, I have to say I made a mistake on the sound output. There is actually a setting on the Realtek software to enable/disable separate audio streams between the back and front audio ports. HD sound needs to be enabled from the bios, and the proper HD connector should also be used.
The Thermalright Mosfet (HR-09U - Type 2) heatsink has been installed and it has reduced the idle temp to 70 fluctuating to 82 degrees celcius. Not a bad result imho.

great motherboard,it has all the features a good motherboard should have, except for pci 3 and sli, if you dont want to go for a multi gpu setup, then buy this. it can run crosfire but in x8x4 which is not as good as x8x8. so if you want crossfire, buy a more expensive baord. however, i personally think that a single gpu is better as there are no bugs in it and it is more efficant. although this baord lacks heatsinks, any decent pc will have a heatsink on the cpu, i got mine titan for 20 pounds and it does an excellent job, dont stick to the standers intel fans, get a heatsink. there are 2 sata 6 and 4 sata 3, these are reallty usefull and enough for most people. you can easily fit 6 hardrives, most people dont even have that many. if you combine this with a good combo of components, you can esliy build a poweful pc.but if you want multi gpu support, go for a asus z68 gen3. overall, a good baord.

Very happy with my purchase, cheap z68 mobo, got my i5 2500k overclocked to 4.5GHZ on air & loving it :)
EDIT: Until i tried upgrading my ram to 16gb filling all the slots & was unstable, fault somewhere with the board, tested all memory in slots 1 & 2 on intelburntest even at stock speeds all memory ok, but try in slots 3 & 4 blue screen crashes or unstable, amazon are sending me another board :)

Cheap Z68 motherboard.
If you want a Z68 Motherboard. It does the business at a very good price. I would recommend it. I like the newer style bios, makes it a lot clearer to use.
