After a lot of research into wireless headsets I bought these and the Plantronics Audio995 ones to do a side by side trial. I mainly needed them for Skype. I sent the Plantronics ones back because they were uncomfortable (I wear glasses), also I could tell that not being able to use them whilst they were charging would become a big problem. Here is my assessment after using the Asus for a month:
Pros
1. relatively comfortable with glasses
2. you can charge them up whilst still using them (this is very important because I cannot get anywhere near the stated battery life)
3. people can hear me speaking crystal clear
4. they don't look too bad if you are on a video call
5. very easy to set up
Cons
1. people sound a little muffled, it can be difficult to hear what they are saying if they have a heavy accent or the line quality isn't very good
2. the battery life is short (even after making sure it was charged properly out of the box)
3. the battery gives up without warning, leaving you in the middle of conversation wondering why you can't hear the other party
4. if there is noise cancelling on the microphone it isn't good enough to block out much ambient sound
5. you need a lot of space around the USB stick because it is thick and the charging cable inserts into the side of it; so on my external USB port it effectively takes up 3 ports; the one it is in, the one above it (due to it's thickness) and when I'm charging it (a lot of the time) the one next to it.
In summary, these offer good value for money, but I needed a really good headset with noise cancelling microphone, so I think I'll have to pay quite a bit more to get one.

I purchased these after reading a review about the Skype Wireless Head Phones. It seems the reviewer was of the opinion that the ASUS HS-1000W were the self same headphones but at a lower cost. He/She was absolutely right and so I now have a beautiful wireless set of headphones that are ideally suited to Skype but a lot less expensive. I can listen to anything else that would otherwise come out of my Sony Vaio speakers in the way of sound and not be constantly attached by wires..
Incidentally the attached microphone is also of the highest quality audio, so I am told by me Skype Contacts. The fact these are true wireless and not simply 'BlueTooth' is brilliant because of the shortcomings of 'BlueTooth' headsets. Bye the way, my Vietnamese wife called me the other day to say a BlueTooth was feeding at the bird table. Seems we get all sorts of birds visiting our garden, including BlueTooths.
The sound of the ASUS HS-1000W is crystal clear and the battery life about 4 hours. I listened to some classical music on my laptop and the sound was really lively and full of rich tones.
The fact the ASUS HS-1000W folds away is really clever and the circular zipped hard case holds the headphones, the USB dongle and the charging cable which plugs into the side of the USB dongle. Some reviewers have said the folding aspect of the ASUS HS-1000W is flimsey. Provided you treat them with respect and are not heady handed, this has never been a problem for me.
Walking around my three-story house causes no loss of signal at any point but today I went to drive off from the driveway and forgot I still had them on my head. They stopped working about 10 metres from the house... well what did I expect?

The product very good value. It comes with a sturdy case, the sound quality and range were excellent. It needs a longer charging cable, but that's only a small problem. I re-used another USB extension cable I had.4
I have quite a large head and although a tight fit, they are quite comfortable (I have had them, on for 3 hours now and just starting to feel them).
WARNING: I had a problem charging this device properly, as I had attached the USB dongle to a USB hub and tried to charge from the Dongle. I don't think it kicked out enough power and so the headphones would not charge and acted up.
After plugging the dongle directly into my laptops USB port, the headphones now charge correctly.
So, if you have a charging problem, make sure your USB port is kicking out enough power.
I have quite a large head and although a tight fit, they are quite comfortable (I have had them, on for 3 hours now and just starting to feel them).
WARNING: I had a problem charging this device properly, as I had attached the USB dongle to a USB hub and tried to charge from the Dongle. I don't think it kicked out enough power and so the headphones would not charge and acted up.
After plugging the dongle directly into my laptops USB port, the headphones now charge correctly.
So, if you have a charging problem, make sure your USB port is kicking out enough power.

Cordless headset
Pretty poor.
Doesn't hold charge for more than few hours, subjete to unpredictable interuptions of communication.
