I bought this netbook quite some time ago, and was slightly unsure before buying it whether the fact that it was aimed at young children would mean that it would perform worse than an equivalent non-Disney netbook. But in the end, the pink won me over!
I've found it to be just as good as other netbooks of similar specifications, and it has normal Windows XP as well as the special children's interface (which I only use to show other people how 'cool' it is)! I've also put Linux on it, which runs perfectly well, and have used it at conferences amongst other places. And the price is also pretty comparable to other netbooks of its kind.
So if anyone else out there is finding themselves tempted by the pink Disney princess design, but thought maybe it's just for kids, I would encourage you to go ahead and buy. I've certainly had no regrets, despite one or two people at uni referring to it as embarrassing!
