Deeply Divinely Delicious for those who dare to look!,

Too many signposts? Can't make up your mind as to which is the right direction to take in life, or is there a distinct lack of direction, either way this is the book for you. Hold out your hand and let Poimandres lead you down your chosen path.The Oracle is based on 360 Sabian symbols, one for each degree of the Zodiac as channelled by Elsie Wheeler and Dr Marc Edmund Jones in 1925, from what Marc believed was an ancient occult brotherhood which existed in Mesopotamia (Sumeria), lead by Hermes Trismegistus who is attributed to be the founder of Astrology. Love/Relating/Social Using dice or playing cards you tune into your question/life dilemma and Poimandres/Hermes will give you his interpretation of where you are, should be, and possibly will be through the appropriate Sabian symbol. This book works in many dimensions for those who have been on their path for many years or who are at the start of their journey and suddenly wish to take a new direction. So I asked my question, threw the dice, then laid back and watched listened and felt as Poimandres mirage shimmered through my psyche via the dice to select the most appropriate Sabian symbol. Each time I have undertaken this process the answers have been powerfully influential, allowing me to maintain a balanced view whilst navigating through each dilemma. This book is awesome, I had no idea when I purchased it what secrets it held. I am so happy I bought it, it makes so much sense! So much work ahs gone into the book I love it - I love the sabian symbols and I am buying MORE BIRKBECK BOOKS!

Information is Helpful, Yet Book is Poorly Bound,

I have many Sabian Symbols books and have found excellent insights in all, including this one. I believe Lyn Birkbeck did a thorough job with this vast subject. I especially like how she organized her thoughts and resonated with many of her interpretations. However, I was not impressed with how the book was bound. After less than a year, the glue has dried out and the book is literally falling apart. Thorsons, a trademark of HarperCollins Publishers did the author a great injustice. If you are drawn to the Sabian Symbols in Astrology and shoddy binding is something you can live with, check out this book.
