The video starts with a gentle Warm Up section followed by Cardo-Conditioning which takes the form of some fun dance steps. This is not a "go for the burn" type of aerobics section, instead its aimed to get you moving, have fun, raise your heart rate a little and start a sweat and it meets these aims. Next is Upper Body Focus - gentle arm and shoulder exercises. Then the dreaded Abdominals section (or abominables as Astrid calls them) - which I could do!!! Next comes the leg and butt session - all gentle exercises that really are fun to do. Finally a cool-down stretching session.
Each section lasts about 10 minutes which is manageable for a beginner like me. Astrid is a very good role model - she is a large curvy lady who throughout the video motivates you to keep going. Her praise is well timed and it makes you feel like she is talking just to you which is a great feel-good factor. I found myself smiling as I did the exercises and I really did feel good afterwards.
I recommend this highly and only wish she would make another video.
