These books are the reason I started reading, they are hilarious. Even more so now that I am older and there are a whole lot of puns that suddenly come alive that I just never understood as a boy. Recommend for children and adults.

The omnibus series of Asterix adventures are great. I bought the first one for my 9 year old son, who loved it. Consequently, I've been purchasing the re-issued omnibus series whenever each instalment becomes available. The quality of the print is fantastic. The images, as well as the text, have been cleaned up, resulting in pin point definition. The fact that each omnibus contains at least 3 main instdlments, makes these books fabulous value for money.

We were in Holland when we were introduced to Asterix. My son, 13 at the time, had a throat problem and we were delayed at a friend's home for a while. He was given an Asterix book to read. And even though he had a sore throat, his laughter was clearly heard. We ordered some of them from Amazon when we arrived back home in the U.S. There are a lot of books in this series. This Christmas, though all three of my sons are adults, I order 10 more books for them to share. Then, my 8 year old and 11 year old granddaughters both had the first picks and you can see them reading with much enjoyment. I have to admit that I too read one while visiting them. FIVE STARS and would put ten stars if you had that available. THANK YOU FOR HAVING THEM AVAILABLE TO ORDER
