About the Author

Jean Hall trained in classical and contemporary dance. As a performing dancer, she became drawn to yoga and began to study, qualifying as a certified Iyengar teacher in 1995. She then returned to India to study different forms of yoga at the Sivananda Centre in Trivandrum, and with Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore. Jean teaches in London's major yoga centres and internationally, running yoga retreats in places of rare and natural beauty. Doriel Hall is a highly experienced yoga practitioner. For the past 20 years Doriel has been training yoga teachers for the British Wheel of Yoga, widely recognized as Great Britain's governing body for yoga, and has been involved in their verification and assessment procedures for the training courses. Doriel's other published works include Meditation (Lorenz Books); Starting Yoga (Cassell); Discover Meditation (Ulysses Press); Yoga for Pregnancy (Cassell); and Healing with Meditation (New Leaf).

Good book, recommended by my yoga teacher. Good value too. Lots of clear photos, would recommend. Still can't do all the poses right though!

I bought this book because I was amazed that it brings more than 900 photographs. But the best part is that it shows how to do each one, with a complete explanation, plus the woman in the cover is a complete elastic girl. So there is from simple position to advanced ones too. So More that welcome as for me who Am starting to get this great Must for a Yoga lover and also it helps in the meditation tips for you to do it seriously. Mora than welcome to enjoy such a great book for a great low price.
