About the Author
Eilis Flood teaches Special Needs Assisting and Understanding Special Needs modules in Drogheda Institute of Further Education. She is an experienced examiner at FETAC level 5 and has 20 years' teaching experience.

An excellently written and informative book for both tutors and students of the Special Needs courses. The book covers everything a tutor needs to include on the FETAC Level 5 Special Needs Assisting course and the Understanding Special Needs course. The PowerPoint slides on the CD Rom are very useful in putting together a lesson plan for these courses. The CD Rom does not come with the book but you can ring up Gill and MacMillan, the publishers, and they will send it out to you free of charge. Of all the literature I have researched in order to put my 15 week classes together, I have found this one the most useful. Thank you Eilis!!
