Book Description

Assassin's Creed: Unity is the seventh title in Oliver Bowden's phenomenally successful Assassin's Creed videogame tie-in series.
1789: The magnificent city of Paris sees the dawn of the French Revolution. The cobblestone streets run red with blood as the people rise against the oppressive aristocracy. But revolutionary justice comes at a high price...
At a time when the divide between the rich and poor is at its most extreme, and a nation is tearing itself apart, a young man and woman fight to avenge all they have lost.
Soon Arno and Élise are drawn into the centuries-old battle between the Assassins and the Templars - a world with dangers more deadly than they could ever have imagined.
The immersive story of the Assassins is continued in Oliver Bowden's gripping seventh Assassin's Creed novel, following Renaissance, Brotherhood, The Secret Crusade, Revelations, Forsaken and Black Flag.
Oliver Bowden is the pen-name of an acclaimed novelist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Underrated - A fantastic piece of literature 3 Feb. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition
As a fan of the Ubisoft series, I completed the most recent game and then found this book at a bargain price in Asda. No good story starts with "I found it on the bargain shelf", I realise.
But I was pleasantly surprised.

When the credits rolled, I realised that this was not strictly an action/adventure game, but a love story. NOT the kind of thing that would usually appeal to me, but hey, we are all drawn to characters sometimes. And that's why I was so pleased to see that this novel tells the tale of Elise from her childhood, through her combat training as a Templar, and up to her inevitable goodbye.

As a sort of second scenario to the story, I gained more insight into the world that Bowden has created, and through the eyes of an innocent young lady, no less. I'm thoroughly excited to read more of his works.

As sad an ending as it was, I can now continue with my day as someone who is grateful for the incredible journey I have just experienced.

I throughly enjoyed this book but it is not a reflection of the game. I read this book because I have read some of his works before, and although at times a little bit hard to understand the overall plot is ingenious! So I would only recommend this book if you are willing to persevere but I can guarantee that you will fall in love with the characters and the way it is written.

5.0 out of 5 stars UNDERATED 18 Jan. 2015
Format:Paperback
This book is really good, having a videogame in a book might seem rubbish amd risky but this book is intreeging and forms bonds between you the reader and the characters. The story line is good, there is parts were it can be a bit iffy but it buys itself back. The Content may seem an issue for parents but it is not really that bad

Enjoyed the book, but found it to lack some of the action of previous books.I think the author needs to return to his previous formula the books should be self supporting and not rely on the game from which they first came.

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC 19 Feb. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
An amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone. It covers all of the back story of Assassins Creed Unity and questions left unanswered. I have never played Assassins Creed but I watched a walk through of it. It can sometimes drag on and the chapters can be quite long but all in all it is a great book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite as deep as the rest. 28 Nov. 2014
By Woodh
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have thoroughly enjoyed all the other books but this one seems a little bitty. Less detail. I felt I didn't get to know the characters as well as the in other books in the series. Everything seems a little rushed and doesn't give you time to gain sympathy for the main characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars The untold story of Elise 20 Dec. 2014
By Enrico
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Very good book, it tells the -mostly untold in the videogame- story of Elise de La Serre, so all the story is told from hers point of view and I think it's really interesting and adds a lot to the gaming experience if you play the game too...

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment 31 Jan. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The usual excitement of the assassin's ventures was overshadowed by the templer quest, much prefer the storyline to be predominantly driven by the assassin's creed and their fighting abilities and weapons.
