Fun:
This version has all the added extras so you won't have to spend more money on the DLC which is a major bonus and it keeps the story linear rather than coming back later to do the bits you missed due to them not being released.
I blasted through the story mode on this game and it took me well over 20 hours, it's quite fantastic, much more varied than the previous incarnation (which i loved) with more assassination options, better and tighter combat system, different collections (of which i have only completed a couple) and a much more fluid movement system than the first game. The story again centres around the pieces of eden, where they are hidden how to find them and it was all set up by Altier from the first game. it makes you want to play to the end and find out what is going on and why the modern templars are so hell bent on getting info from Desmond, that is revealed at the end of this game to some extent, fans of the Matthew Reilly novels will be beam at the revelation.
I am very much looking forward to the next game as i can't see where the story will go, which is a rarity for me. I advise this game to lovers of action, in depth convoluted stories and excellent tight gameplay.

Fun:
A definite improvement over its predecessor in all its aspects. Graphics are slick and vibrant but kept within the theme of the game - both PS3 and xbox have issues with screen tearing but nothing too distracting to gameplay, but if it is a major concern to you the xbox had a slightly lower amount [evidence from "Lensoftruth.com"]. Battle mechanics are improved in technicalities and variation - though the NPCs can lack aggression at times. The repetitive nature of the first is gone and like in a good movie the action is well paced. It's without a doubt an essential addition to any PS3 collection.

For those who have played the first Assassin's Creed game, this second one will have a very familiar look from the start. A big improvement in graphic quality is apparent, yet this is an area in which AC1 was definitely no slouch. Game play is a fraction more fluid, and combat made much more interesting by the increase in variety of weapons. In fact there is an increase in variety of just about everything in this game. The landscape design is even more impressive than in AC1, and the detail of background seems eerily real. Here's an amazing thing to watch for - find a wall-turret or interior where sunlight shines throught a slit window, and watch the resulting shadow creep round, as the planet spins in relation to the sun... stunning - real planetary physics are incorporated into the game.. I have never experienced such a detailed display of this in any game.(Someone is sure to point out that there are loads of games where this happens). It does show however, the level of attention to detail you can expect.
Also, the item collection and mini-games are more widespread, interesting and involving than in AC1, particularly the investment and purchase mini-games, attention to which could have a positive effect on your main game success.
Without going into too much detail, if you liked AC1 then AC2 is better in just about every direction. If you thought AC1 was too repetitive, then AC2 answers this criticism with style. All this, and two freebies. Good value for those who would hate to miss out on any part of this exhilarating canon.

Very good edition and price
