5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest group game ever!! 31 Dec 2008

Durability: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Werewolves has been the fulcrum for genuine, laugh and shout out loud fun with 8+ friends on many occasions and I could not recommend it enough.

At first sight Werewolves is an extremely simple set up. Most of you are villagers, some of you are werewolves who eat the villagers. Work out who is good and who is not before it's too late!

Whilst there is a simple story line to set the scene and keep the game moving the fun is really about your ability to lie and to spot the sneaky traits of your friends.

Every round you get to vote on who you think the werewolve(s) are. Cue much shouting, cursing, outraged indignation, counter claim and untold brazen lies as you and your friends attempt to shift the focus or defend genuine innocence!

There are plenty of extra characters with unique abilities to add as you get comfortable with the concept (a couple of games will do that) and these really do add new dimensions to the play.

For any one bored by board games stay right here . . . this is not remotely like the dice rolling, token shifting affair you might glaze over with. This is all about the people you play with and their personalities.

The decision for "go on, one more round . . ." is the only thing me and my mates always agree on with Werewolves - just buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant party game! 8 Dec 2007
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 1.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This game is great for a large group of people to play - absolutely hilarious trying to work out who's pretending and who's not. The rules sound a bit complicated when you first read through, but it's very simple to play. It's easy to start off with; just play with towns people and werewolves and slowly add in other characters as you get used to the game. The best recommendation I can give is that we played with friends who didn't like board games, but they all loved it!
