Product Description

Review

This is a deceptively simple book which is an absolute treasure. (Bookseller )

A super book for practitioners and parents to share, even if you only look at and talk about the interesting photos, pictures and images that correlate with each question - they are marvels in themselves. (Early Years Educator )

Product Description

Who would you like to change places with for one day? How can you tell that you are growing? What do you do when you are very cold? This is a little book with big ideas. Sometimes provocative, always interesting, every page can be the start of a new discussion. Reading the questions, and looking at the pictures, each child will have different answers to give, and things to ask. The questions are intriguing, the images sometimes startling, sometimes beautiful, and always engaging.

I love this book! 6 Nov 2009
Format:Hardcover
I first came across this book whilst on a training course. The trainer (a highly revered and published educational expert) thought highly of it and, having used the book with my youngest children (ages 2 & 3) I can see why.

The book offers a fabulous way of encouraging sharing within groups and also for promoting discussion between children and adults. It's a great way of whiling away an hour or so on a rainy afternoon and my two often look at the book and 'read' it by themselves, since the pictures which accompany each topic are so memorable. I would recommend this book to ALL parents and to professionals working within Early Years and early Primary education.

I got this book for my daughter (now 3) when she was about 18 months.
She adores it, as do I. For younger children - there's a wealth of interesting pictures. For older children (and adults) the questions really get you thinking - and can inspire some interesting discussions.

Thought provoking 19 Jan 2010

My 3 & 5 year old love this book and never seem to tire of it. They enjoy asking the same questions of different people and comparing their responses.
Great for ice breaking.
Our best question is "Is there someone you can't stand?"
