"Ask Baba Lon" is the fifth book I have read from this author. I have enjoyed each of the books I previously read, but this book is easily my favorite! The book offers all kinds of fascinating insights into both "magick" and "every day life" and it puts on display the very real and human nature of a most interesting man (I refer, of course, to the author, Lon DuQuette). Lon's engaging personality is evident on every page, the reading is (for the most part) light and effortless, but do not assume that to mean there is not information of substance. On the contrary, the book offers quite a bit to chew on ... I enjoyed it immensely!

Having heard Lon Milo DuQuette talk about the letters he receives and some of the answers he gives, I was glad to find out that he has finally published a selection in book form. I'm reading the book from the perspective of a local body officer of O.T.O. His letters cover the basics of what such a person might be asked by both prospective members and by fellow students seeking answers to their questions and concerns about Crowley, Liber AL vel Legis, the initiatory path, the balancing of Magick with one's mundane life, etc. Both the content and tone of his responses are great. He's respectful even when he swears. I would recommend it to anyone in a leadership position in a mystical or esoteric order.
