The trainers are brilliant. Although I use them only for walking, they are great for my damaged knees. The sole is soft and still gives you a strong grip. The shoes fit perfectly for my flatfeet. As with every shoe it needed to be "walked in". No problem with running socks. An alternative would be wearing two socks at the same time.

I am now on my fourth pair of these trainers. I find them fantastic for me. I run 5-10k 3-4 times a week so for me they were perfect. (life at the above use would approx 6-8 months) A more serious runner may need to upgrade. but for the recreational runner, They are light, durable, well cushioned and give good support. Another bargain from Amazon

I have had this model of trainer before having had an assessment at "Up and Running". Mine started to wear out after about a year (I run a lot so this is not unusula and you should replace trainers regularly due to foot hygiene too). With normal "neutral" trainers I suffer terribly with shin pain, shin splints and even developed compartment syndrome, which fortunatley, a physio spotted early and we were able to treat it with rest, ice and physio (I was in Initial Officer Training in the military at the time). The next stage was prevention which is why I looked for some more suitable running footwear. This is what I bought. The beauty is that the cushioning is so comfortable, the quality of the trainer is excellent, they provide the correct support for my pancake flat feet (collapsed arches) and they do not cost the Earth. Other advice I'd give you if you do have collapsed or overly high arched feet is to see a physio for their opinion, or even go to a running shop for a gait assessment, it costs about £10 but they do take this off as discount if you buy shoes from them. After that initial set of trainers when you next have to buy a new pair of trainers you'll know which ones to get and will know if they work for you and can buy them cheaper online. Don't buy anything that's not right for your feet even if they are cheap. It's not worth the pain, hassle and cost of treating the injury.
Specifically, these shoes are great, but go find them in a shop first and try them on before buying online. Especially for gauging shoe size and what's suitable for running as your foot will travel forward on impact.

Laces too short
The only thing I dislike about these running shoes is the laces are too short. Everything else is fabulous. Very comfortable and light. Would definitely buy again
