Format:DVD
Instruction (5 stars):
Swenson demonstrates in "real time" with a clear and precise way all the asanas. Different options are provided for many of them which is very good for beginners, like myself.

Impressive introductory exhibition. The DVD would earn a lot in value if all the asanas were demonstrated at the same place as the introduction.

Form (0 stars):
The DVD doesn't seem a professional work, to me:
- The image resolution is bad.
- The sound and lighting leave a lot to be required.
- I can't imagine how the stage design could be worse..!

I understand in some way the other two reviews but I think they are unfare. The quality is fine, the sound is fine. Of course, it could be better in this days of HD and so on but, and this is a BIG but: Why do you care so much about the picture quality in a Yoga DVD? The sound is ok, the picture quality is fine, so I don't see any problem here.

The most important thing is the instructor quality and I can say for my years experience in yoga that this is far THE BEST dvd of Ashtanga Yoga in the Market. The instructions are clear, he is an EXCELLENT teacher and for me this is what matters.

Mixed Feelings 22 July 2009
Format:DVD
The quality of the instruction on this DVD is excellent but there is a serious issue with the recording. This was filmed in 1995 and the quality of the video is appalling! Firstly, the picture has a very low resolution and it almost not watchable due to the pixelation of the image. It is just watchable on my laptop but when played on my DVD player through my wide screen TV it is horrible.

The sound quality is also awful. The presenter, David Swenson is wearing the miocrophone in his top. When he is facing the camera the quilty is aceptable but whenever he is in the middle of a posture, the level fades in and out and at times becomes muffled.

I am returning this DVD as it is not worth nearly £30 of my money.
