Format:Hardcover
from the 'TADPOLES' book series.

From the back cover:-

`Ashok is going to get a pet dog.
There are so many - big, small, hairy, tall....
How will he choose?'

Durable hard-board covers open to 24 thick shiny pages in the popular 2-page spread format. Numbered pages.

Beautifully illustrated throughout, by Mike Phillips, this story is further enhanced by meaningful facial expressions.

Large, easy-to-follow text.

Example of text:-

`... "I want a dog," said Ashok.
"What kind of dog?" asked Dad.
"I think I want a big dog," said Ashok.
"Or maybe not," said Dad........'

As a rather large one demonstrates just how BIG he is at the Dog`s Home, Ashok and his Dad are visiting!
And as time goes on, Ashok soon realises that this was not an easy job at all! However, all is well that ends well..... when he takes some good advice!

`Tadpoles are structured to provide support for newly independent readers. The stories may also be used by adults for sharing with young children.
Starting to read alone can be daunting.
Tadpoles help by providing visual support and repeating words and phrases. These books will both develop confidence and encourage reading and rereading for pleasure.'

There is a list of other TADPOLE stories on the very last page!
