About the Author
Pippa used to work as a teacher and bookseller before turning her hand to writing books for both adults and children. As well as writing, Pippa tours the country visiting schools, libraries and attending literary festivals. She evens fits in a bit of adult tutoring from time to time.

Large, easy-to-follow text.
Example of text:-
`... "I want a dog," said Ashok.
"What kind of dog?" asked Dad.
"I think I want a big dog," said Ashok.
"Or maybe not," said Dad........'
As a rather large one demonstrates just how BIG he is at the Dog`s Home, Ashok and his Dad are visiting!
And as time goes on, Ashok soon realises that this was not an easy job at all! However, all is well that ends well..... when he takes some good advice!
`Tadpoles are structured to provide support for newly independent readers. The stories may also be used by adults for sharing with young children.
Starting to read alone can be daunting.
Tadpoles help by providing visual support and repeating words and phrases. These books will both develop confidence and encourage reading and rereading for pleasure.'
