5.0 out of 5 stars Asa is the next BIG thing out of Nigeria, 17 Feb 2008
By O. Onanuga "max" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This girl is superb, unique and reminds me of India Irie and Bob Marley together. She is not like any of them because she is unique in her own right but she writes soulful, meaningful songs that touches your soul not just LOVE LOVE and senseless music we listen to nowadays that does not add any value to our lifes but lust and filt.

This is music and I think everyone should buy this album. It is highly recommended. Check out Fire on the Mountain talking about the problems in Africa especially the Niger Delta problem of Oil exploration in Nigeria.

Kudos Asa.

I have listened to a lot of soul singer and I think that this one take's the cake!
I got the album as a present from by brother on by way back to England, and I think it's the best thing to come out of Nigeria with regards to music.
My friends here are loving all the songs on the album my favourite one is called- When I'm crying (writing in Yoruba on the album)

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST, 24 May 2008

I absolutely love this album. Would recommend it to anyone who love soul music, of african origin also. She uses authentic yoruba too, quite touching Lyrics- quite deep and metaphoric. We want more, Asa! proud to be African and Yoruba!
