Product Description

Seeking answers amidst LA’s occult underground, a hard-boiled detective chases down a serial rapist intent on consuming the souls of the innocent and becoming a god. The clock is winding down in "As Above So Below"...

An occult carnival fully of mystery and terror. A blind cellist who cast spells with her music. An enemy that haunts the urban decay of abandoned city streets.

In the theatre of your mind... these are brooding mysteries and fantastical adventures, mixing themes of dark magick with beauty, violence and chaos...

About the Author

Sean-Michael Argo is an independent film producer, writer, and director. He is irreverent, moody, over-educated, and full of self-depreciating humor. He is all together unhinged but quite happy. In addition to creating his own films, he is also a hardworking film distributor, preferring to do his own sales and marketing instead of sleeping, eating properly, or having a steady job. He is a true independent filmmaker, complete with a chip on his shoulder about lack of financing, artistic angst about unfulfilled visions, and a deep desire to share his stories and entertain audiences. Unlike the "How I Made It" books on Hollywood success stories, Sean-Michael has set out to create an informative and entertaining book for the working class artists in the film industry and audience members looking for out-of-the-box film entertainment.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not horrible writing, but not worthy of publication either. 15 Jan 2013

I should've read through the synopsis more carefully. (Explanation is at the end of the synopsis.) This book is a self-published compendium of the author's scripts that he couldn't convince anyone to finance. Basically, "No one else likes these enough, so I'll publish them myself." The writing isn't all bad, just young. Mea culpa but still, I feel duped.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not a book, but a script. 3 Jan 2013

I learned that I'm not the person to enjoy a script and I'm not qualified to review it. I just keep too much of a separation from the story while reading the script.
