I bought this book as it is one of the best illustrated books on textile design on the market.
Clear and detailed full page illustrations complement the text and make it a superb form of reference for any student or lover of textiles and prints. I wish more fashion students would delve into this side of fashion history!
The book is broken down into decades so reads well and is easily followed. Many of the genuine textile prints are shown next to a photo of the finished product (skirt, dress, scarf, curtains) so you can see the design in context.
At the back is a comprehensive biography section giving details of the designers and company history up to the present day. Again, a brilliant reference tool to have.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in print or textile history whether they are a student of fashion or just have an interest in the subject.
